one of my video-files has a size of almost 700 mb... so, it should be alright.

ok, now i deleted the limewire-preferences-folder and started the program one more time. i had to put the settings for new. do i have to download the file now one more time? thats bad, because i already waited for so long...

Well if you can't play it with VLC or QuickTIme then you may need to redownld it. One more option I can think of is this player: see http://www.gnutellaforums.com/showth...threadid=44556
ANother option is if it's an avi file, it might be a divx file with a problem. YOu could use DivX Doctor for mac fix it.

Well since you're a Mac OSX user, I can tell you what I do. For avi files, I make VLC the default to play them. For mpeg files, I use Quicktime as the default, but i have the mpeg2 codec which came with a video editing software package. So if you're concerned about this video, I'd try to preview the downld once it reaches at least 10% downled. If problems playing, then cancel & find another source, preferably a different version of it. eg: it might be a slightly different size or might be an mpg file instead of avi, etc.
