![]() I've been having a difficult time downloading for several weeks now. I've updated to the current version of Limewire software and have only gotten updates and installs from the limewire webpage and no others. I've uninstalled and reinstalled and I still can't download. When I say I can't download I mean, I double click (or right click or use download button) and nothing happens. There is no rhyme or reason to it, but it's driving me nuts! Has anyone else had this problem with the new software? It might be helpful if I were at least getting an error message, but I'm not. I'm running Windows XP and my connection is through the cable line. Any ideas would be really appreciated! Thanks a bunch - Jus ![]() |

![]() @ JusAlilNukinFutz Sounds like you ticked no on the liscense warning. reset it and tick yes. In LW go to>Tools>Options>View>Popups>Revert to Default, then tick the box and click apply. then try to d/l something. When the license warning box comes up tick "always use this answer" then click yes. Let us know if that doesn't work. @ cabar Where did you get your LW from, because there is no "subscription", it's a free download for LW basic and Pro cost $18.88US and gets you 6 months free updates. Get it here: http://www.limewire.com/english/content/download.shtml If you did get scammed contact your bank oc CC company and dispute the charges. Also here's a link to a thread about scams ** BEWARE** - Download p2p Clients ONLY Thru Official Sites Don't feel bad, your not alone.

![]() JusAlilNukinFutz Just one thought ... On the left of the search screen thre should be a column with stars in. If you try to download a file the stars should change to an open folder with an arrow. can you check if this is happening. If it is the download window may have got minimised. |

![]() Pac - Thanks so much for the tips. I did everything you suggested, not remembering if I had ever seen a lisence dialog box before. I still haven't. There were 2 popups on startup. 1) the prompt to upgrade to Pro, 2) tips box. I've been using this program forever and this is the first time (using the current upgrade) that I've ever had problems with it. Jus |

![]() Hobo - I wish it were that simple. When I double-click the file I want to download, the stars stay the same. The file name is Not moved to the download box, either. But keep the suggestions coming, I'll try anything. Jus |

![]() Deleting the .limewire preferences might be an idea with Limewire completely closed http://www.gnutellaforums.com/showth...threadid=36420 part 2 |
