download speed decreasing Hi, I'm new to the LW. I started downloading a video file with a very good (I think) transfer rate of 60-70 kb/s. The speed of the host(s) was described as "T3 or higher". My luck has finished after some 4-5 minutes. I'm dowloading only one file and now the transfer rate dropped to .... 5 -10 kb/s. Why??? I use Win XP SP2 with 512 MB of RAM, LW 4.9.30 pro, have 2 Mb DSL connection. I see at the bottom that there is between 12-20 upload slots at about 25-40 kb/s. Does it influence my dowload capacity? thx for any advice |

Thanks a lot. However, I don't see how I can manage the quantity of upload slots or the UL bandwith. Is there a special menu for this? I looked in the: tools/options/... but haven't seen anytthing. What I've seen is a menu where I can define the percentage of my internet bandwith (I put on 100 %) but I think it concerns only DL. Any advice? thanks |
