completed downloads download again Downloads which have been completed and those cancelled reappear as new downloads in list when LW is restarted. At first I thought it was just duplicate download requests, but I have been through the list and removed these items only to find them back again next time I have to re-boot the computer. I thought I saw something about "remember my cancelled files" which was activated, but I cannot locate this now. Any suggestions? |
When I saw the topic my 1st thought was, LW has detected a corruption as in missing bits or bytes, so it attempts to redownld that last part of the file again. The process is LW downlds the hash of the file, then downlds it. At completion if the hash is different to what it has downlded then it tries to get that bit misssing from the original hash info. Do you resume files from the LW Library window>incomplete folder. If yes, then that's why. That's not the normal way of doing things. Cancelling a downld does not remove the incomplete portion from the incomplete folder. If neither of the above then there's a chance you have a virus.
