Mordido is flying high
Default Download speed slow

I have the latest LimeWire, have set up my ports or forwarded the at my router's web site, have wireless cable, yet when I download, if I get a download at 30kb I consider it great. I have a friend that uses Limewire with cable, router, same-same as me, Windows XP Home Edition, etc, and he says I'm downloading slowly. Yet my Turbo-Charged Connection blue spaces are all filled to the right indicationg all's well, but my fried says he usually down loads in MBs a second, not 10 to 30 kbs a second. What am I doing wrong? Moreover, he speaks of "blocking," and says his girlfriend has set his computer by "blocking" and it made all the difference in the world. Can any one advise me on how to increase my downloading speed to MBs a second?

P.S. I'm a newbie, in fact this is my first maybe my second post. So if I'm not exactly in the correct forum, please accept my apology.

My guess is your friend is full of it if he has cable connection MB/s would be full T3 very expensive connection and you say his connection is the same as yours. Tell him you want to see it.

Do a speed test and post the results here. The link below will take you there.
