HELP! downloads gone weird!?
 

could someone please tell me why my download speeds have suddenly gone from an av of 40kb/s to 1-4kb/s? i only downloaded limewire yesterday, and the speed changed today. i havn't changed any settings so i have no idea how this could have happened. i tried disconnecting and reconnecting, but it still stays the same. is there any way to get my old speed back?! plz HELP!

Probably because you've connected to different hosts (sources) or not as many &/or they aren't offering as much upload speeds or they are busy using much of that bandwidth for other uploads to other people.

Try searching the file topic again using LW & see if you can find more sources. Trying at different times might also help since not everybody uses their gnutella program everyday.

i tried to search for the files i previously downloaded at 40kb/s, and i tried to download it again.. but now its goin at ~3kb/s.. this is really wierd coz i downloaded it fine the other day.. now its really slow :(

i also tried to download stuff last night and this morning, but the result is still the same.. super slow speed..

Patience is a virtue. Yes sometimes you need to baby-sit LW, but if properly configured, most times you should be able to open LW & walk away & it does it on its own. BTW which version of LW do you have?

umm.. i jus got it recently... so limewire 4.9.30 and java 1.5.0_03
