Cancelled download in error

I did a smart thing, cancelled a download in error, and unfortunately did not know which one it was. Is there a way to find out which one was cancelled, and try and download it again? Also, I cancelled some other downloads before (knew which ones this time around), and wanted to re-download one of them, but Limewire keeps telling me that that file is being downloaded, and won't allow me to restart the download. Anyone know of way to clear this?

If you don't know which download you cancelled in error, and you have a pile of files in your incomplete folder like I do, you will have to try trial and error, I'm afraid!

If the search window you started the download from is still active you can click the column with the stars and at one end of the column you should see a broken icon. If you download that ... hopefully it will be the one you cancelled and will continue from where it left off.

If you cancel a download, you need to clear it from the download window. Once you do this you should see the broken icon I mentioned before, and you should be able to continue the download.

It usually works like this:)

I hope this helps

Cancelled download in error

I know that you can restart a cancelled download by searching for the file again, and if you find it click download and it will resume where it left off.

But, i have a very large file that was several days in downloading to more than 90%. I never saw the file in searches again. But when i clicked resume it would always find its original server and resume the download. Unfortunately i accidentally cancelled it.

Since i cannot find it in a search, and the partial file is still in the incomplete folder, how do i get the file name back into the download window so i can resume it?

tmcdanel said "the partial file is still in the incomplete folder, how do i get the file name back into the download window so i can resume it?"

Only by highligting the incomplete file in the Library and clicking resume. This will put it back in the download window. Wether it will reconnect or not, I'm afraid only time will tell. I've waited weeks for files to resume. Perhaps the host took a month's holiday.

I hope this helps

If you re-search the file you'll see one of the image icons displayed below. That's the best way to re-continue a cancelled downld (ie: searching the file again or re-selecting from the search results if still available). Resuming from the Library > Incomplete folder risks the file starting from 0%.

From above: "I never saw the file in searches again. But when i clicked resume it would always find its original server and resume the download."

I do not know why the file never did and still does not, show up in searches but it doesn't.

This "restart from the partial" is a feature that Limewire should consider.
