Error Message

Every once in a while when I try to play a song I downloaded a message appears: "Couldn't open the file --------- because the file name was bad.". What does that mean???

Are you using the latest version of LW with Windows, Mac, Linux or . . . . some other OS?

If the file is complete, you can use the Explore button in the Library to find where the file is stored, and rename it. Seems like the files in question have something wrong with the name, as far as your OS is concerned. If you are using Windows, scan for a virus before trying to open the file.

I forgot to say that I'm using LW 4.8.1 on win2000.
