Incomplete Folder - Complete Downloads I am a Limewire Pro user. I have been having some problems with downloads the past week and have noticed that the Incomplete directory now often contains a completed and working download not reflected in the main status panel, shown as either 0% or some partial percentage that never seems to change. Not only is this annoying but it would be what I'd classify as a major bug in the program. Time wasted waiting for a download that is already completed and fully working but not reported as such by the product. Has anyone else had this happen? As a paying customer I reported this to the Limewire people but like so many other application/utility sellers there has been no response. |
Just one dumb question what did you pay for LimeWire basic is free and Pro cost $18.88 for Pro and 6 months of free upgrades. Just guessing here and you didn't mention it but your post sounds like you might be one of the many that have gotten LimeWire from one of those scam sites that sell you a lifetime membership to a free product. |
Actually I got it from the real place, yes six months of upgrades etc. I am one of those strange individuals who actually pays for stuff I use often, i.e. the shareware concept. I live in Thailand so I can get the latest Pro version for free whenever I want and after the six months I probaby will in the future, but since I got my "money's worth." by getting access to TV shows I can't see or get here I didn't mind paying the fee even though I disagree with the only six months of free upgrades policy and now this issue of 'incomplete' downloads. I'd still like a solution to this current problem since I am a curently paid up member. |
Im not a Pro user, just a thought: Once your six months is up, you might have to repay again and the reason for the incomplete files might be because the Pro version you have no longer works? I stick with basic because it works just the same and you can get free upgrades without worrying that it will stop working once the time is up. It could also be a glitch in the software. |
