Default Cannot download the same file twice ?

Here is my little story.

I was downloading multiple files at once when my computer suddenly crashed for whatever reason. It restarts , everything seems fine , I start LW again and low and behold "Limewire was unable to resume some of your downloads." or something like that.

Well , I was a little irritated but hey , I can always go get them again right ? Apparently not.

When I search for the file I get the same results as before , the 4 Stars with 200+ which I had downloaded before is still there (as it should be) but instead of the 4 stars , there is a folder icon. Having downloaded alot of files before I know that it turns into that icon when you have downloaded the file already.

What I did NOT know was that unlike the Incomplete icon , this one can't seem to be reinitiated. Everytime I click on it or right-click Download/Download As , it says I already have that file , which I obviously do not.

Now I want to know : is there a way to start that download anew or not ?

Normally I would simply get the 2nd best result and go with that...but in this case , only the one I already "downloaded" has more than 1 host or is the right file type or file size.

Help....please...

Limewire resume functions doesnt work in my opinion. I have yet to resume in Limewire. May I ask what version you are using? You should be able to redownload it though. Thats what I usually have to do. Personally, I wish LW came with a push or ping feature but, I have yet to see this in basic anyway. Without ping, there doesnt seem to be a way to restart lost downloads or incomplete files. Anyway, try to refresh Limewire. reboot your computer and see if it clears up.

You will have to delete the file from your hard drive, then you should be able to download it again.

yeah, what Grandpa said. You can delete the incomplete files from your Library and they will go to the bin. although, sometimes when I refresh I can redownload the same file, providing the host is online.
