Download speed I'M on a broadbannd satellite connection and have had an experience similar to yours. I called the Direcway service and asked why I was able to occasionally recieve at speeds of up to 70 Kbps and would be shifted down to 5 Kbps after a few hours and would not have high speed for a day. They told me about the FREE ACCESS ACT It seems that any broadband user who goes over the level set for your level of account payment is thereby cut down to a bare minimum for a 24 hours. The standard level level for a home account he said is 160 mb in a four hour period, buisness accounts have more. They said a solution may be (and seems to work) is to set your incoming and outgoing bandwith at a level that cannot trip the act. Limewire has an option to set this. |
