Firewall Blocking Uploads?

The icon at the bottom of Limewire shows I have a firewall. I disabled the only 2 firewalls I have (Windows firewall and McAfee) but it still shows that I have a firewall.

Another question...does having a firewall block other users from uploading my files?

Also, my connection quality shows 5 green bars if that helps.
