downloading from hosts question
 

ok, i have 3meg cable internet, my question is if i search for a file and find one that 40 hosts has why when i click on it will it only download from 8 hosts? this is everytime i download a file. is their a way i can download from more hosts at one time or is this like a default setting that i cannot change. thanx in advance for anyy information.

AFAIK the maximum no. of hosts a person can downld from are 8 for a single file for LW Basic, & I think 10 for LW Pro ... but I might be wrong about the latter. I'm guessing this is to keep the network flowing & not tie up too many people's upload slots for individual users. The more that are available the more people are able to connect without getting busy host messages.
