That's going to be hard to troubleshoot because it could be lots of things. It could be that more people in your area have signed up for cable ... that would decrease it. Also it could be a break in your lines; another program you're not aware of is taking some bandwidth; it could also be your modem.

Your ISP may have started blocking or limiting p2p software recently you may want to check with them and other people you know to see if there DL speeds have drooped recently. The links below may help.

Hi.

This has been a problem for a lot of people including myself.

Most people said I was simply selecting the wrong files to download, others said there wasn't enough hosts for the file. But along came someone who suggested the following;

Go to the tools menu in limewire and select options.
You get a new window, in this double click on advanced then firewall config.
You need to change the Listen on Port to 80 and use manual port forwarding and change this to 80.

Needless to say it worked straight away and my downloads are always about 50kbs now

Hope it works for you,
Best regards

Marc

Hey WOW!
That worked! Thanks. I got 60kb! Never seen that before. Although it does flucuate, my 1hr download just went down to 33min when I changed it.

That tells me that your ISP is blocking or limiting P2P programs it will work until they discover you are using port 80 then you will have to find another port. If it were me I would switch ISP good luck.

I'm not worried too much about it. I rarely download stuff from P2P programs anyway. I just came on here to download some Brazilian dancing videos.
