 New to Limewire--Downloads are super slow Hi. I downloaded the free version of Limewire because I was tired of using Ares, but whenever I tried to download anything, the file transfers would go at 0 kbps or 1 kbps, which is messed up because I am on a DSL connection. SO, I upgraded to LW Pro, but still, all my downloads go at 0-1 kbps. I don't understand what the problem is. I don't like Ares, but it downloads fine (when it wants to) AND I have no problem downloading with mIRC (but I hate the stupid ques). I'm running on Windows XP, I have opened ports for my firewall like it instructed on the LW main site AND I have LW unblocked on my firewall as well. I'm really frustrated because I hate Ares and mIRC and was hoping that Limewire would be a good replacement for both. I'm at my wits end here. Can anyone help?  |
