The last 1 %
 

I am downloading videos (AVI, MPG, DVDrips, DivX, etc) and they typically download at a good speed from 8-12 hosts until the last 1% comes along.

Then the wheels begin to come off the wagon...the hosts go down to 1...and the download speed goes from typically 50-80kbps down to 1kbps.

Then inevitably, the download fails after 2 days of trying to get the last 1% or the file is corrupt. Is somebody messing with me or is just the way it is?

most likely somebody is messing with you..this is one of the current ways the 'good guys' are doing their thing...
