restarting previous downlods I have the newest limewire pro, i'll start to download a big video file and it will download so much until i close it down and switch my computer off, but when i switch my computer back on and go to resume my downloads they all start again as if nothing had been downloaded, my video file which was on 60% when i switched it off is now back to 0%, why does it do this and what can i do, i dont really want to leave my computer ont 24/7 for a file to download especially if its downloading slow. |
Your downld preferences are becoming corrupted. This will happen if your computer crashes whilst LW is open, or if LW has not closed down properly before you shut down the computer. My guess is the latter. Question is why is it taking so long to close down. Might I suggest you go to LW's menu bar, Tools>Options>Shutdown & select shutdown immediately & press apply. If it was already set for this then please say. If it was already set that way, then perhaps your java is the issue. After closing LW, wait several mins before shutting down the computer. Contol-Alt-Del & bring up the Task Manager & see if LW is still listed. |
thanks for the advice, it was set to minimize to tray, but to close it usually i would right click and click exit |
