no longer download
 

This may have been answered before and if it has please forgive me for asking again. I have been using limewire with no problems for weeks and suddenly when I start it now I get a message stating it can no longer load my old downloads. Is there anything I can do to fix this or am I just sol? Thanks!

Normally this happens if:
1. Your computer crashes whilst LW is open.
2. You don't close LW properly before shutting down computer.
3. You revert to a much earlier version of LW.
4. You accidentally delete the download.dat & bak files in the incomplete folder. These files are the downld preferences & keep record of the downld % if each incomplete file.

Unfortunately, although you can generally reload the incompletes via the Library window, they will start at 0% no matter what the file size is.

Normal technique to reload is go to Library window, select incomplete, select incomplete files & press Resume button. This will force them back into the downld window.

Next time, before you shutdown your computer, bring up the Task Manager with Control-alt-del & see if LW is still listed after closing LW down.
