Licensing issue
 

I just purchased 4.2.6Pro, but Limewire.com doesn't recognize me for support.

Forum searches consistently bring me to the licensing issue, but my version does not have the "Basic" option under the Searching option listed in Tools. In Searching, is has three options: Limit, Quality, Speed. No Basic. As a result, I cannot fulfill the instructions.

Specifcally, my problem is that I can select titles for download, they move to the download window below, but they remain in "Queued" status forever. Any more instructions for me?

I'm running XP Pro, SP2, Comcast High Speed Cable, McAfee Security (I went thru the setup as described in user guide for McAfee), Netgear router (it works fine with basic Limewire on another connected PC). THanks.

I hope you made a typo perhaps you mean 4.9.26?? This version was one of the last not to have the "licencing issue". As you say you "just" purchased it ...How recently was that, and How much exactly did you pay for it.

The queued Status might exist because you Maximum downloads in Tools or preferences> Downloads is set at zero. This should be set at somewhere between 1 and 5 to start with. If you change it, remember to click apply > OK

This may help or you may have some other issues .. please let us know. As for the lack of support, please answer the questions I asked.

Maximum downloads has always been set at 10.

Ummm .... 360 share is not a genuine version of Limewire. Limewire is only available from www.limewire.com. The basic version is free and the pro version costs US$18.88. Limewire sell no extras or lifetime memberships.

If you use the search feature above right to look for 360share, you should find more about it, but as I recall it is an altered version of Limewire, is sold by scam sites, who are rip off merchants and has nothing to do with Limewire and is not supported by them. I believe it may be filled with ad ware etc, and you should get on to the people who sold it to you if it is not working.

Really I advise you to cancell your payment if you can either through the site or your credit ard company ... Cancell your credit card as the scam site has the details ... Get all the 360share stuff off your computer and install Limewire from www.limewire.com

Thank you. THey represent themselves on the web so you think you are downloading Limewire. There is no way to contact them, because their radio buttons for support do not work. I'm working with the credit card company to cancel this purchase.
