Default Another partially downloaded .avi file has vanished!

This is a complete mystery to me. The files still show up in my incomplete file, but they're at 0%, when just yesterday one of them was at 80%. This has happened a dozen times now, all within the last two weeks. I haven't been able to complete a file in a week! Anybody got any clues?

I ran a security check...nothing. I see that uploads are happening all the time. I'm beginning to not feel so generous with my files.

Go to Tools or preferences, > saving (I think) > "Days to keep incomplete files". The default setting for this is low which is a pain, and you may need to change it to something sensible like 300 days Then click apply > OK

I hope this helps.

so that's supposed to be an avatar of a Numenorean eh?...looks more like a Nazgul to me! (and yes, I've read The Silmarillion)

anyways, it probably because the SHA1 hash value for the file you are resuming with is different..i.e. its not the same file...hence, it is basically starting over again...very annoying, as I well know...the best advice to avoid this setch is to make all possible attempts to allow the download to complete as opposed to logging off and hoping for a resumption

i have no probs if i d/l the whole thing in one go, and i understand that the file may be different when i resume. it wont even start a resume (automatically), i have to select the option, as bit torrent does. like you said, annoying.

and yeah its a Nazgul, i used it cos it looks cool and makes a good avatar, by the way have you ever looked for a pic of a Numenorean? besides Aragorn that is.
