Can't Put Songs Into iTunes

Hi,

I've never had this problem before but just recently when I was trying to put songs from Limewire into iTunes I got this message:

The file "____.m3u" cannot be imported. An unknown error occurred (-50.).

Anyone know how to fix this?

Thanks.

I'll try the link but when I used M3U before, it worked.

Edit: Oh well, I just tried dragging the files over and it worked so I'll just stick to that. Thanks.

I hope you didnt convert/save all your MP3's as M3u's? Thats not really a good idea in the long run, you'll want them as MP3's for your desktop.

Playlist files M3U dont showup on your desktop only in your player. ;) go to your player programs folder if using windows and it will be there as a playlist, not MP3s. never convert an MP3 to an M3U. Although, have no clue how they would work on a Mac. Hobo, I hope you're kidding about the M3U's???

It might be due to you 'moving' or 'deleting' one or more of the original mp3 audio files "after" you created the m3u playlist. m3u files are reference files in that they point the player to the location of the song file. But if one of the song files is no longer there, then the playlist (m3u file) won't work. I suspect iTunes will refuse to open the m3u file if the above has happened. Don't forget you use the import function for opening external playlists (such as m3u files) in iTunes (SHIFT + Control + O).
