Remember your downloading off someone else.

They might be downloading hordes of porn and just don't have a lot of speed available.

Pro gives you more priority over basic users, but if there was no speed the "source" had in the beginning, its the sources speed problem.

Unless you're using a 56k (or lower) connection, then upload and download speeds should be completely independent.
In other words, even if you are downloading at the maximum speed that your connection allows you to, you can still upload at max speed (which, unless you have SDSL, should be lower than the max dld speed).
Consequently, lack of speed can result from uploaders (=people sending you data) already using most of their upgoing bandwidth to upload to others.
I suggest reading this. If you still got questions unanswered (which will probably be true), go through the other stickies: there's some valuable info in there...

Where did you get Pro from? as far as speed, you can only go as fast as your internet ISP allows you to go. Some ISP's are capping bandwidth and, you also have to keep in mind that Limewire users have the option to turn off their bandwidth. Pro doesnt make you go any faster than basic. You are downloading across the same network, Gnutella, which IS FREE. Pro is only good if you are a heavy downloader and feel it is worth it to spend the extra money and I hope you got it at: www.limewire.com because anyplace else is a scam.
