Question Downloading Problem....

You see, I was downloading songs for about two to three months now and like, lately, some of the songs half done. I mean, I stopped downloading and they're not finish yet. The next few days, I noticed that the half of the song I saved was missing. It was gone for good. I didn't delete it or whatever. It just disappeared. I just want to know what I did wrong in downloading...

And another thing, why does it always show need more sources most of the time? Just wondering..

Thanks, if anyone answers..

With LimeWire open go to top of page click on Tools/Options/Saving at the bottom of the page that opens change the number of days to save incomplete files.

As far as showing needs more sources my guess is you probably have allot of incomplete files. LimeWire attempts to find sources for these files when they have stooped downloading and I have found if you have allot of files it is searching for sources for it has a hard time. It appears that LimeWire gets confused. It would be better if you complete a download before starting new downloads.

The best way I have found to cure this is to click on the files that show need more sources and cancel download until you only have 1 or 2 searching. Then click on those files and then click on find sources or do a manual search. Once you have finished all of your incomplete files you can start searching for new files but don't try to download more than a couple of files at a time.

You will probably have better luck if you choose the versions of the files that have the most sources to download from. Hope this helps clear some things up for you.
