very slow file download these days
 

hi, my internet connection seems to have slowed to an extent but it is especially slow when downloading files using Limewire. It even takes ages for the status bar of the file to connect. This is so even when the general connection to the network as indicated at the left bottom corner is strong or turbo. I used to be able to get 20 or 30 kb/sec transfer speed, but now it is usually less than 1kb/sec or just shows as connecting.

As u can imagine it is very frustrating waiting for it.
I can't put my finger on why it is so slow, any suggestions are welcome!:)

You're not the only one experiencing slow downloads. I thought maybe it was due to me upgrading to 4.9 version. I went back and installed 4.8 to see if there would be any improvement. Same results. Just extremely slow downloads. Hope this is fixed soon. I got better download times with dialup.

If it is going to be fixed it will be on your end there is nothing wrong with LimeWire I just finished Downloading 40 files at an average speed of 815Kb/s. The problem is on your end try the fix above.
