"Incomplete files" missing after upgrade I upgraded from LW4.9 to LW4.10, i still have some incomplete files with the older version, after the installation of the newer version, the incomplete files are no longer in the downloading window. I check the incomplete folder, the files are still there. I did not change, transfer, relocate any files or folders, or uninstalled the older version. I just downloaded the new version, install, then run. How can i resume the downloading of my incomplete files that are not in the downloading window? |
In limewire library>incomplete folder> select a file and click the resume button. |
I did that, but it says : The file "______" is not a valid incomplete file and cannot be resumed. |
Hmm .. I was afraid you might say that. I have lost several incomplete files also doing the upgrade, and I am sensing that I am not alone in thinking this has been one of the worst upgrades in recent Limewire history. This should not happen with an upgrade, but I have had problems with the upgrade in that LW was crashing. I deleted my preference folder, which had obviously been damaged by the upgrade, and it appears my .dat files for the incompletres were also damaged, the same, I assume, as yours. So as far as I can see we have lost some incomplete files and must sadly start again which is a pita. Any other comments would be welcome:( |
I'm sad to know that is the case. But glad to received an answer. Thank you very much for your time. |
