Wmp?

how can i make Windows media player my main media device on my computer? like for downloading songs on LW? because when i download songs i have no device to send them to for burning onto cds. also when i try to download a song from a website, it downloads but it does not play anywhere because windows media playr is not the main media device and i have no other devices to for listening to songs
