Default Firewall problems...

I just got this new computer for Christmas, so I tried to download Limewire on it (it worked fine on the upstairs comp but im not allowed to use that one anymore cause i got my own). The installation was successful, so I thought I would be ready to download more music. When I search for audio files, no results show up. There's a little icon in the bottom left corner that says Limewire has detected a firewall and it also says 0@0 KB/s. I know that's because this computer had a McAfee firewall program on it before i got it. For some reason, I cannot configure the firewall to unblock limewire, nor can I disable it. So I just went and removed it from my computer completely. At first it wouldn't go away, but it finally did after a couple of tries. The problem is that search results still don't show, so maybe I have some other firewall on here too that I don't know about. I'm not sure what to do, so if I could get some help, that would be great.

If you're using windows XP and SP2 (most likely) in the bottom right of your task bar there should be a bunch of little icons...one of them represents your internet (either 2 little computers or 1 computer with a wave coming out of it) right click that and click on "Change Windows Firewall Settings". Click Off. OK.

Enjoy (I hope).
