Default Burning Movies

Sorry if the answer to this Q is already out there but i can't find it!!

I am a true newbie; I have struggled to download my first commercial movie - took over 24 hours! - but now can't seem to burn it onto a blank DVD. I use an HP Pavilion PC with a built-in DVD burner and Sonic software which come bundled with the PC. I also obviously have Windows Media Player and having read this forum have also downloaded DivX and VLC players.

Help - which software will get the movie onto the DVD most easily, and why is it so difficult ?

The movei is in .avi format if that helps!!

Thanks guys

Try Nero Version 7.0

Here is the URL: http://ww2.nero.com/enu/index.html

By the way, burning CDs and/or DVDs is not difficult, you just have to learn how to do it first, then thereafter it's like falling off a log.

By the way, have you checked that the file you are trying to burn is not a false file, simply because the P2P network is littered with false files.

Default Mossing a stage

Barney

You are missing a step, the burning software is suppose to convert the avi file into a format your domestic player can read.

If you follow the the URL I posted and you will find manuals for NERO DVD/CD burning software, read one of these (I suggest the NERO 7 manual) and it will tell you what you need to do.

And I can guarantee that you will never miss another step

Hi Bob

Phewww!

Was wondering whether to splash out $80 on Nero 7 - thought the idea was to save cash rather than spend it!!

Thanks

Whoever gave you that idea is wrong, dead wrong.

The idea is to solve problems not to beat the system.

If you are looking for simplicity try dvdsanta, all you have to do is click convert, it will do everything for you then click burn job done. and its a lot cheaper than nero, or try doing a search for it. hope this helps
