Default Please help! Music videos

Hi,

I'm a rookie, so could anyone please help me out.

I just have a few questions.

Are there any techniques in safely downloading music videos?

Also, I noticed that the music videos in quicktime format are sometimes smaller than the ones in Windows Media Player Format. Does it make a difference in the format chosen?

What are the general minimum requirements for downloading music videos?

Will a pentium 3 with high speed internet access do the job?

Any help will be appreciated.

Thanks for your time.

See these tips:
1. Movie download issues

2. Direct instructions to eliminate porn from results

3. If you're happy with your player & it has all required codecs then that's fine. But normally I'd recommend VLC as it has in-built codecs & is generally very reliable. To see what it can do see http://www.videolan.org/vlc/features.html & to downld it choose the nearest mirror site: VLC (click here)

4. Different filetypes may have slightly different file sizes. But it also may depend upon the encoding quality used. But then, some formats are better at reducing the file-size without any lesser quality. H.264 & divx are typical examples of this. In fact, some can be a little smaller but better quality if a good encoder was used with high quality settings. However, I'd tend to go for the larger ones since H.264 is only rarely used so far .. it's still a very new format ... extended version of mpeg4.

5. Some tips on searching videos: Cant search well help

6. When downlding videos, try for those with multiple sources under the # column. And whilst many Shareaza (RAZA) users often have lots of videos, they're generally unreliable to downld from. ie: less reliability to connect to or reconnect to, & much slower downld speeds.
