Partial search results As of a few hours ago, I am not getting complete searches. Every search I run, returns some results, but the file count in the search tab shows something like 10/117 or 133/219. Why am I not getting the entire 117 or 219 files to appear anymore? I've been using LW for a few months now, and this is new to me. I just spent an hour reading the forums, (found some useful tips!). I've also started getting an occassional window that says a firewall has been detected, and another window saying I do not have an active internet connection, even when I have files that are actively downloading. I've never had any firewall conflict with LW, but to be sure, I turned mine off, but that didn't help. I'm on a new Mac, and I closed LW and deleted the preference file, but the problem persists. My latest search is only showing 125 out of 217 files found. Reinstall LW? |
1 Attachment(s) I wasn't using any filters when this occurred. I'm using OS X 10.4.4, and LW Pro 4.10. I updated to OS X 10.4.4 several days ago, and everything's worked fine until today. I am attaching a screenshot of the results window. Notice that only 34 of 245 results are displayed for Space Oddity. |
These are all plain, old "all types" searches, and I don't have any filters on the left side enabled. As I said, I,ve been using this for about 3 months, so I pretty well know what I'm doing. I think: When I start LW now, it takes 15 seconds-2 min. to get a turbo-connection. Used to connect immediately. |
You say patience is a virtue-well your're testing mine. THERE ARE NO FILTERS ENABLED-meaning ALL media is showing. I have NOT filtered down to only video or documents, etc. Every file that it will show me is showing in the window. AS I've said 3 times now, I've been using this for 3 months, and I know what I'm doing. It's not me-it's the app or my system. I'm sure you're trying to help, and I appreciate it, but I thought I was pretty clear before, and I'm getting tired of posting follow-ups for nothing. |
No need to be so rude...Hobo was just trying to HELP you... |
Problem solved :) We're on ClearWire wireless internet, and our modem gets its signal from a nearby cell tower. I unplugged the modem to reset it, and when I fired LW up. I started getting complete search results. |
