Question Downloading videos

Hey everyone,

I just got Limewire this past Christmas. A friend referred me to Limewire as an easy way to get music. I just got a Video iPod this Christmas and I can't wait to fill it up with movies. Problem is, I have no idea how to download movies. I don't know if they have to be in a special format for iTunes or if I need additional software to actually get the movies. Could someone please help me out?

Thanks,
Christmas07

This thread has different info about video into iPod & also some stuff about formats:

To download a movie, just search using either the 'video' or 'all types' searches. Just make sure that you preview to make sure you're getting the right thing! Take care with what you choose to download, there are many infected & junk files around. Have good AV, spyware & adware programs & scan before opening the file. See here for virus info:

General video downlding tips here http://www.gnutellaforums.com/showth...764#post187764

How to get them onto iPod, there's some more tips other than the one birdy left down near the bottom of this page: How to transfer music to my iPod (& iTunes)

If you're after music video clips, then the sizes will vary between 5 to 80 MB, depending upon length of clip, file format, quality settings. The majority of mine are less than 10 MB. Mpeg 4 clips will import directly into iTunes. So will H.264 format. Other formats you'll need to convert.

If you're using Mac OSX then it's easy to convert. There's lots of freeware programs available.
