Tools > options > player. Untick 'use LW player. Apply.
Try using another media player, the LW one's not too good

Ummmm....you shouldn't have to restart. Once you apply the change, that should be it. What version of LW do you have?

its the ghetto one that you first download. but it says this:

"You can choose to play media with LimeWire or your system's default player. The media player and playlist will appear only if this option is set. A restart will be required when enabling or disabling the media controls."

I dont really understand what that means...

Ok, I don't understand "the ghetto one"
Click on 'help' & choose 'about LW' that'll tell you what version you have. Did you download it from
www.limewire.com
It shouldn't matter if you do a restart, all your downloads should still be saved. But, if you have a scam version of LW you just can't be sure what the program will do.

Help's right at the top of the page. Next to tools. If you're LW's an official version it should be fine. Just change the player, close LW & open it again. Player should be gone.

* can you reduce the size of MM?? Makes it a PITA to scroll through your posts
