hi guys. really hope you can help me. If been using limewire pro for roughly a year now. I have never had download problems. Then the other day my connection just dropped to the low kbs and wont get above 10kbs even with 10 hosts. it should be around 40 to 50 kb per file.

I had previously installed mcafee a few days before but its been fine.

the really annoying thing is that im trying to download rescue season 1 ep 8 file cos ive got everything else but 1 episode and cant watch the rest!

If someone could help me out here id be so grateful because im trying and think by noodle may explode..arrrrrrr

Try deleting your LW preferences while LW is closed. Instructions in thread:

It could be a problem with your ISP (may have started blocking or filtering p2p). Have a read of this thread, LOTR has links to some ISP info:

This might sound like a silly suggestion but scan your computer for trojans/spyware/ad ware ot malware. I was having an issue with slow downloads and after double checking my connection with my ISP then making sure everything was fine with limewire i did a scan..low and behold i found two hijackers plus a few other nasty little trojans/spyware on my computer.
got rid of them now the only slow downloads i get are from those on modem connections.

The trojans/spyware did not come from Limewire, the came from other sources on the net.
