Default problems with limewire 4.10 and itunes.... help please!

two days ago i updated to 4.10 from 4.9 whatever and have been experiencing problems ever since!
1st off limewire keeps quitting unexpetdly, and, when it is working, my downloads have been slower than EVER!
2nd, my itunes is not being updated regularly (which ALWAYS happened before). ie. instead of every song i have downloaded showing up in my limewire folder of itunes only random songs do, although many more appear to have downloaded and are in my shared files folder.
has anyone else experienced this? i am so dissapointed and frustrated... i had such a lovely relationship w. limewire which i am worried has been ruined! please help!, btw, i ran disc utility on my computer and even checked for a virus! oh, and i am running mac os 10.3.9 and itunes 6.0.1., oh, and i did change some of my pref's in limewire but changed them all back as a result of these issues.
thanks so so much.

So it wasn't just me then! .... mullit.. which mac are you using. I had the unexpected quit problem with 4.10.0, .. but I realize now I did hardly any downloading with it, and as I recall didn't actually complete a file! so I really don't know if I would have had the same sypmptyms as you regarding downloads, and iTunes. I have at the moment reverted to an older version, but I am about to try something else which I will let you know about when I know the results!

This was the thread about my problem .. if you ignore the private jokes and general social bits LOL

I think others will look into this as well .. and as I said a few more details about your computer and also your java version would be helpful.

My specs:- MacG3 400Mhx Blue and White OSX 4.3.9 Java I.4.2_09 Memory 320MB

Hey everyone. Yes, I've been having the exact same problems since I installed the latest Limewire. The funny thing is that sometimes as soon as I quit Limewire, it suddenly transfers all the files into iTunes at once. Has anyone found the problem or are you just going back to older versions of Limewire?

this is not exactly a common problem ... and as far as itunes is concerned .. that is totally new on me!

I would suggest first off totally removing limewire including the preference folder and reinstalling from scratch. and if this doesn't work let us know, ith full details of your set up. I would have thought problems with 4.10.0 should be ironed out by now.

Already did. Limewire was getting glitchy so I did just that, removed every trace of Limewire and gnutella and re-downloaded Limewire Pro. I've been trying it out and it still is waiting until I quit Limewire then its copying all the files to iTunes at once. Pretty weird. Could it be something in iTunes that is causing this?

And what setup details would you like to know?
