Default multiples of same host numbers in queue

I understood we each have our own personal host number. how is it that in the queue in my monitor screen there are multiples of the same host number - uploading the same file?

It is regular but just with the one file. I have only been using LW for a couple of weeks, but have only noticed this over the last few days. Just looking on the monitor screen to see what was being uploaded, or to check no-one is almost finished before I switch off the computer.

One answer might be to set only one upload per person. So once they've finished, they can then choose another. Is it happening from another Limewire user or a different client?

This behaviour had been noted before here.

I suppose for example if you're sharing your downld folder, as well as your music library (eg: iTunes) then the same file might be listed twice in your shares. Have you searched your computer to see if you have more than one copy of the same file?

Limewire each time. And often more than one lot - eg 3 of one host number , 3 of another , 2 of another. I have not had a chance to notice what happens when they get to actually upload. Will try do do so over the next few days.
It is not a music file, but a rather large games file I had downloaded from here.

Thank you I'd be interested to hear your results. BTW you don't downld from a site when you use LW, you downld from people like yourself.

My careless wording - I meant a file I had downloaded through LW rather than elsewhere.
Thanks

Are you positive LW actually uploads the same file to the same host twice, ie the two uploads actually go at some speed? There is a bug in LW that it tries to swarm from only one host, but the upload code usually block the requests of a second upload to somebody. Do you have the setting "Automatically clear completed uploads" in the Uploads Options?

Ciao

No, I see them in the queue, but have not been around to see what happens when it is their turn to upload. Yes I have that setting. It is not a problem, I was curious to see the same host numbers filling the queue , rather than 10 different numbers.
