Default Pro or Freeware is there a speed difference?

I recently downloaded the free version of Limewire and not the Pro (purchase) and I just noticed that my download speed is capped at 10k/sec?

I've seen all the guides and problem solving options you all have posted to speed up / freeing up ports / etc.

A few days ago limewire was flying at 100-400k/sec downloads.

Is this because the freeware is speed capped or am I missing something?

Does Pro make a difference? Any input will be greatly appreciated. (Just don't post any more suggestions if its my firewall, etc, my ISP does not filter btw)

Just a simple question if Pro and Freeware speed difference.

Thanks.

Just a simple answer is, probably no because you said your only getting 10k/sec with basic, buying Pro isn't going to make your d/ls go any faster.

You could do a search on this and find a lot of info, search is in the upper right of this page between f.a.q. and home.

Speeds aren't capped on Limewire Basic(the free one). The Pro version connects to more hosts(10 instead of 8) so the potential for faster d/l speeds is there but remember d/l speed depends on several different things, like your connection speed(dialup, dsl, cable, ect) the speed of the sources your d/ling from, available bandwidth(yours and thiers), the quality of the connection, how you have LW setup, wether your isp filters, shapes or blocks p2p, ect.
