Hi eveyone!

I've been using LW for a while. At first all was dandy, then the oddest things started happening

1. After a short time (1 minute), wither the HD goes to cintinuous writing (happens almost every time), or the CPU goes to 100% (happens rarely). Either way, nothing downlods (As I see after I restart LW).
2. When these things happen, and while the software doesn't freeze (menus work, I can resume/pause downloads), the computer is obviously very slow, but more importantly, the download speeds shown by each download, as well as the speed shown in the system tray are unchanging. Even on the statistics screen there are no chnages to the currnt speed (the average speed is changing up & down). This goes on for a long while. Someties everything frees up and starts working again, only to recur later.
3. Separately from the other problem, I now see only 3-4 hosts in the connections window, whereas once I could see dozens

I tried limiting the download speed, but it didn't help


Some info:
1. XP PRo
2. Cable connection
3. Plenty of HD space
4. Updated antivirus
5. Latest LW version
6. No firewall problems
