Default Question about download speed; used to higher speed on other apps.

I'm new to LimeWire and right now I'm downloading a file at a top speed of 20KB/s (the host I'm downloading from is on T3 or higher). When I'm using other applications like eMule or uTorrent, I'm used to getting speeds of around 40KB/s. I'm on DSL.

I noticed that under options, I can only select my type of connection (cable/DSL). Is there a way to manually enter the speed or is there some other way to get my download speed up to the usual 40KB/s?
