Unhappy Help.. Plz?

hm. i need some help.

when i try to dowload movies.

sometime the video dosnt show up.

and other times it does.

for instance.

i'll down load a southpark episode.

and it will download.

but when i launch it.

it opens the windows media player.

and the sound works.

but theres nothing on the screen but

a few moving grey lines.

and i only download MPEG. MPG. or AVI

But other times it works..

Anyone know whats wrong?

Your not supposed to name the files, it's part of the Forum Rules

You probably need to download the right codecs to play that file. XP Codec Pack 1.3.0 is supposed to be a good one for WMP.

You could also d/l another media player. VLC media player is a good one that has the codecs built in and will play most file types.

i installed
XP Codec Pack 1.3.0
do i unzip the files or leave them??

Once you download it then you have to install it. I don't remember if it is a zip file or not.

Or do you mean the video file? If you installed the codecs you should be able to play it in WMP. You shouldn't have to unzip a video file. If you do you better not open it.
