Default Uploading

Ever since I upgraded to the latest version of LW, I hardly ever seem to have anybody uploading any of my music. I have not changed any settings from my previous versions and have never encountered this problem before. Yesterday, I finally saw 1 person downloading and that was the first one in about a mont...Anybody that can offer any help?

p.s. I am still able to upload....

Do this test: Bug Report instructions & sample image Is the result True/False?

Turn partial file sharing on. Go to LW's menu bar, Tools>Options>Uploads>Basic & you'll find the option. This will allow people who are downlding the same files from others to also be able to downld from you at the same time, thus speeding up their downlds.

Double-check your upload settings.

Do you see anybody in queue in your monitor window?

If you don't mind I would like to just jump in here with another sudo-problem. It would carry the same title "uploading"

I get the uploading data at the bottom of the program showing 0 uploads at say 3KBs which isn't as yet causing a problem but it is strange to me. I also as you know have had recent problems with files that are over complete. That has been solved. I hope , gulp but I still get this.
Could it be that files are re-opening into my shared folders?
Anyway I have shut off the partial sharing and the share completed downloads as for the first time in 1 1/2 years I got a letter saying I infringed on some copyright from my ISP provider. I almost scraped the program I was so embarrased. So is this a problem that I have created somehow. The upload 0 @ speeds showing?

Default uploading rates

Can anyone explain why when someone is uploading from my system., the upload rate will start about 10 kb/s, then immediately drop to about 1 kb/s, then to 0 kb/s. Few mins later it will start uploading again for few seconds then stop and shows 'complete'. Then maybe start again.

When once connected, why does it not containue to upload until finished, and why does it do it at such at such a low rate. I seldom ever see "100%" complete. When I first got the program, most of my uploads showed "100%" complete.

Most likely because they're also downlding from other hosts at the same time. So whilst they might get some chunks of the file from you, they're also getting chunks from a no. of other people. Probably when a chunk has completed, there is a break before communication is sent to get the next one that they're after that they haven't got from someone else.

shaunpc I'm not sure why that's the case. I have noticed LW 4.10 has more sensitive speed measurements. I don't know whether that extra bit rate is overhead or what. I've also noticed similar inaccuracies in the speeds shown in LW.

Thanks LOR, hey as long as it doesn't mess with me much I don't trip on it much. My system locks up some but I have been told prob. by you that it might be because I have too many quead files at once or too many large files running at the same time.
Anyway thank you.
