speed Can anyone tell me why my download speed differs. I bought Lime wire Pro. Installed it on my computer and the total downloading speed doesn't exceed 110 KB/s (the same speed it was before I installed the PRO version) I pull out the internet cable put it in my laptop (Limewire 4.10 NOT PRO) and the download speed goes over 220 KB/s in total. What is wrong?? I thought Limewire Pro should have better download speeds? Gr. SHAV |
Perhaps your network card in your desktop is an older slower one. ? |
I suppose my network card isn't that old. The computer was bought not even a year ago. It's an onboard network card. Is there a difference in downloading speed between different CPU's or is this of no influence? And the memory? |
To say the obvious, downld speeds depend on the sources/hosts you're downlding from. |
I know that. But the total downloading speed of 110 kb\s is devided by the number of downloads i have. When I have three downloads the average speed is 36 if i have 5 downloads the average speed is 22 per download. My question was why there is a difference in downloading speed between my laptop with a normal limewire version, and my desktop with the Pro version.:) |
