zip files dissappeared

i've downloaded a couple zip files(around 200kb, i didnt check the size...) and now i can't find the files in the downloaded folder or library.
during the download process i received a corrupted file message and i clicked continue.
the option 'explore' only brings me to my C drive.
where can i find and delete them?
