Can't view videos I can no longer view videos. I recently paid for an upgrade (Pro) subscription but still no luck. I run W2000 and have Norton Systemworks and Norton Internet Security. Any ideas? Thanks |
Merge gjsjrr - can't view videos You might need codecs for your player. Lots here http://www.gnutellaforums.com/showth...ght=wmp+codecs There's also a link to VLC player, it plays most formats:) **Replies to posts aren't working at the moment. Reply by PM will work. Can't view videos-merge I tried the VLC player... nothing happened, so I removed it. I reninstalled WMP and updated codecs recommended...still nothing. I did it all with the firewall and security software disabled. Any other troubleshooting suggestions? It seems that there must be a solution I'm missing. Thanks |
CODECs list and alternate players for Movies (click on link) If VLC can't play a video file then I'd be extremely worried. It sounds like a system issue to me. VLC is a very trusty program & has in-built codecs. It it can't play a file type that it's supposed to play then I trash the file. Are you trying to preview or launch the player thru LW? If yes, try opening the file directly with the video program. ie: select Open file from the menu & direct it to where the video file is. |
