It is soooooo slow!!

I live in a college dorm and I am sick of watching my roommate download entire movies faster than I can download one 3 minute song. How can I fix this problem? I can't download any faster than 3.5kb's per second. Someone please help

If you have windows 98, you need to edit your registry to support broadband. GOTO http://www.dslreports.com and search for the registry fix.
