Default cannot preview while downloading

I'm using LW 4.10.9Pro and have problems that needs solutions. Firstly, my LW always hangs or freezes and some files were aborted from DL with message box "Internal Error" asking me to Review or Discard. Secondly, I cannot preview while downloading files such as movie or video files. Any suggestions anyone?

Default Merge... suhaidi - can't preview while d/ling

These threads have some info on aborted downloads

Exactly where does your LW hang/freeze? During loading? During downloading? Or is it just random?

Are you getting an error message when you try to preview? What player are you using? If you're using VLC with Windows, open your incompletes outside of LW & it will preview just fine! If you're using another player then it's possible that you need extra codecs.

You need to give as much specific info as possible. People will find it really hard to help you if they have to guess everything.

Default I have the same problem

Hi,
I also can't preview videos when they're downloading, my media player says I don't have the right codec or that the file is corrupt but when the file is finished I can watch it just fine (sound too).
What can I do to fix this?

Thanks,
Tombaz

Default But how can it be?

How can it be a problem with the codecs, if when the file is complete media player plays it just fine?

Simuran, are you using VLC player? For some reason (strange) VLC will not preview or launch a movie within LW, if you're using Windows. Launching outside of LW is fine. To preview, open your incomplete folder outside of LW & you won't have a problem.

If you're using another player, all I can think of is that you might need extra codecs (see the link in my other post).
