No More Corrupt Files For the past year now, corrupt files have become a big problem for me. It seemed that nearly every file I downloaded from a T3 connection (which most files are) was corrupt. However, I recently formatted/partitioned/reinstalled my computer and now I have no problems with my downloads AT ALL. (Also, I have yet to install my antivirus software. I know its risky but...) I previously had Windows XP SP2 w/AVG installed. I now have (FOR NOW) Windows XP SP1 w/o any antivirus software and now, whenever I download ANY files, they preview/download/run fine.
I still am unsure as to what is causing the 'Corrupt Files' thing, but maybe for now, this will give us all some clue as to what COULD be causing it. (After all, I'm not a technician.)
I will try downloading some files after I have installed SP2; and then after I have installed antivirus software; to make sure that that is what was causing the problems for me.
I hope that this has helped someone.
Please let me know if anybody has found an easier solution to such an annoying problem. |
