I have:
Windows Firewall.
Windows xp SP2
Linksys 2.4GHz Model WRK54G
My ISP is ntl.
I should mention that I have made Limewire an 'Exception' for the Firewall.

WRT54G ... eek ... not the most reliable Linksys device on the market. They have many but that's probably their most unreliable & linksys are generally reliable! Check all the WRT54G links under the UPnP section of this link Connection problems? Check here first! (click on link); Check the link called "Linksys WRT54G - Fixed my problem, Followed these steps and it works! for a solution!" as that may be a part of your problem!

BTW it might be worth your bother to install an XP2 patch ... be it a windows one or a 3rd party one or both; see MS & 3rd party patches

Ah ... I thought it was a typo ... I've never heard of that model.
I don't have a clue.

But I would recommend googling around to see if there's been problems with that model. The model name is suspicious all the same. To save the UPnP issue ... if it's not already set ... why not manually port forward. At least that guarantees the port is open. Whether the isp keeps that port open is another issue. But it starts with you.

See this The WRK54G is stripped-down version of the LinksysWrt54g wireless router. Also http://www.linksysinfo.org/modules.p...article&sid=36 Perhaps the firmware update quoted will be good for it. It sounds like you should basically treat it as the one I suggested earlier. Try it in UPnP mode. Make sure UPnP is enabled in your WRK54G. If that doesn't help, then look at the previous suggestion in my previous post.

Yep manually port forwarding is generally a lot more guaranteed a port will be open. As compared to using UPnP which can be unreliable on some models. Good to hear you solved your problem.
