Whenever I try to open a download, firefox opens and sends me to a website...

Where did you get your LW client from? If you didn't download it from the official LW website http://www.limewire.com/english/content/home.shtml, well, then you might have a faked one, which tries to trick you in leading you to that website; just my 2-cent-worth though......:cool:.......you might consider to download LW basic from the official website and try it.

By the way, that's the second time I've read this here today.

I got it from the Limewire Website.

It's only just started happening, and I have 2,000 downloads so...

Have you checked your system for any viruses, spyware, malware or any king of this stuff?

Ad-Aware from Lava soft and SpyBot Search and Destroy are definitely superior and the free AVG Virus scanner as well

If a search result has (sponsored result) by it and you click it, it will launch your web browser to an advertisment page for ipod or something like that. They are harmless and you can filter them using the keyword filter and the junk filter. In LW go to Tools>Options>Filters.

Ooops, that one I definitely understood wrong. He/She actually really spoke about a finished download (..."Whenever I try to open a download,..."):eek: :eek:
