Not able to download (Did my search...) Hi. New to Limewire, but I installed the software straight from the horse's mouth on several machines over the weekend. All are working fine, even with the firewalls, except one. Downloading the install files cannot be done through the recommended link on that machine, and I installed the Offline package. The other machines have been installed using the recommended procedure. The problem on that machine is that when I click 'download', nothing happens, not even the yellow pop-up box or the folder where the starts were before. Not by clicking on the button, not through the right mouse menu. The searches are OK, and nothing seems to be different from the other machines (Same software config) Install parameters: -Windows XP Pro SP2 -Newest Java JRE -Toshiba Tecra 9000 hardware -Norton Internet security (I also tried the recommended download with Norton completely switched off, but to no avail...) Any body had the same issue? Any clear solutions? Last edited by yellow; April 18th, 2006 at 08:26 AM. |

It's not something as simple as this is it: License requirement (click on link) Do you see a brick wall in front of the blue world icon? |

Hey Lord... I actually do see the brick wall, but that is on all machines. I have granted access to LimeWire as described in the Help files, and I have agreed not to infinge copyrights... and again, on all machines. Will check again later this week. Gotta work as well... |

I did a search on the artist D-*our, album L*ave A M*ssage. I was able to pull this search up once and never again. It started downloading at a fast speed and then it stopped. Since then I can not pull it up or continue downloading the music that I previously had qued. Please help Please do not mention copyright material on the forums; Forum Rules (click here) |

Perhaps only one person is sharing that file & they went offline. Try varying your search type. Here's some tips: 1. See the following link & follow “ALL” the off-shoot links to find hints & extra skills to help solve your problem: To continue files downlding (click on link) 2. I have tried your suggestions, but I can't pull a thing up on the perticular artist. Also, when I right click on the file to search Bitzi, Bitzi does not appear. I'm lost. I'm using LW 4.10 Pro. Windows XP Home ed. Java 1.5 connection cable modem. Last edited by onejewel2002; April 20th, 2006 at 09:57 AM. |

no there is no brick wall and I am turbo charged. Why cant I pull up the search that I am looking for? I was able to once. It's like it does not exsist anymore. I even had someone else try it who has LW Pro and they can't pull it up either. Last edited by onejewel2002; April 20th, 2006 at 11:26 AM. |
