Trouble adding file to share folder I am having a problem adding a file to share in LimeWire and FrostWire. The file was originally a torrent file. I have repacked it as an ISO and a TAO and a z7 file all three work on my computer. But when I add them to the share folder LimeWire/FrostWire does not see them. They see all of the rest of the files but not these. So my question is do the R1 through the Rxx files need to be changed to a different file tipe before packing in order for LimeWire/FrostWire to be able to recognize and share. |
Salut, first, is the file not shared over 2GB? *Wires does not support sharing files bigger than 2GB at the moment http://groups.yahoo.com/group/the_gdf/message/21048 You might want to add in Options->Shares the extension that is not recognized by the *Wires to be shared. Sorry, but I don't understand clearly that question: "So my question is do the R1 through the Rxx files need to be changed to a different file tipe before packing in order for LimeWire/FrostWire to be able to recognize and share." Anyway, I hope my post helped a bit ;) Ciao |
Thanks for the response et voilà Now I know what the problem is. The file in question is larger than 2GB. Do you know of a more efficient packing method than z7 ? Or do I need to split into separate disks. When I DL the files they come packaged in pieces they when you click on properties of the individual files it will show type of file R1,R2 etc. |
You could always try to .rar it. .rar usually makes the smallest files. Otherwise, I would split the file in two. Ciao |
